Eliane Elias (São Paulo, March 19, 1960) is a Brazilian pianist of classical and popular music, which approximates constantly to jazz and fusion of this with so-called world music, including bossa nova in their country of birth. Lives in New York.

Realizando una gira por Europa en 1981, conoció al bajista de jazz Eddie Gómez que la animó a viajar a Nueva York, donde estudió con Olegna Fuschi en la Juilliard School of Music.
La carrera profesional de Elias consiguió un avance importante cuando fue invitada a unirse al grupo Steps Ahead, formado por Michael Brecker, Peter Erskine, Mike Manieri y Eddie Gómez. Grabó un disco el grupo, Steps Ahead , en 1983. Tras abandonar el conjunto, began working with the trumpeter Randy Brecker with whom he later married and will record a duo album with him.
His next career move was to turn herself in leading their groups with whom he toured (counting with musicians such as Jack DeJohnette and Gomez, in his first trio, and Erskine and Marc Johnson in the second). His third trio featured Marc Johnson on bass and Satoshi Takeshi on drums.
His 1995 album Solos and Duets was made with Herbie Hancock. Although many of his recordings have only been instrumental, Elias has also added his voice on albums such as Eliane Elias Plays Jobim 1989.
